Pick the perfect color scheme.

Picking the right color scheme is essential for creating the perfect winter wedding! Your color scheme will carry out your winter wedding vision. Since your color scheme is the thing your guests will notice first, it sets the tone for the rest of your wedding. When choosing a color scheme to fulfill your winter vision, there are many different options to consider.

Just because it’s not a summer wedding doesn’t mean you can’t incorporate bold + vibrant colors. Playing around with deep reds, purples, and blues can help you find the perfect winter color scheme to make your wedding pop against the North Georgia Mountains. These colors are bold + romantic, and greatly contrast the bright colors associated with the summer and spring months or the warm colors of fall. However, brides can also choose to utilize soft colors to achieve the perfect winter color scheme combination as well. Earthy, neutral tones can be used to complement our barn venue and give your wedding an elegant ambience. Soft brown, grays, and purples found in nature are a perfect way to compliment an outdoor winter wedding.

Use winter motifs.

After choosing your color scheme, you can incorporate winter elements that not only complement your colors, but also help create the perfect winter wedding decor. Brides can have fun and get creative with their winter decorations to help capture their unique style! Snowflakes, pinecones, candles, trees, and blankets are great examples of winter elements that brides can use to help carry out their winter wedding vision. At our rustic barn venue, we love when brides incorporate their wedding vision into all details of their wedding!

Keep it cozy.

As you consider the important aspects of your winter wedding, make sure that you carry out a cozy feel throughout the event. No matter which direction you choose for your color scheme or what seasonal elements you decorate with, a cozy feel is an important factor in creating the perfect wedding! A great way to do this is through your desserts. Hot chocolate, warm pies, peppermint and so much more can help your guests feel nice and cozy in a winter setting. Seating arrangements is another great way to make your Tatum Acres wedding comfy + inviting during the winter. We love outdoor seating areas that are an adorable + classy way to provide extra seating while adding style and personality to a wedding! Your guests can enjoy a cup of hot chocolate while sitting on a couch with friends + family. Bonfires + outdoor fireplaces are another great touch to a cozy wedding.

Get creative with your favors.

At the end of your winter wedding, give your gifts a favor that will tie in your winter wedding theme until the very end! Winter wedding favors allow the bride + groom to get creative and festive. Candles, blankets, + mason jars filled with hot chocolate or soup ingredients are a few examples of winter wedding favors your guests are sure to love!

Brides + grooms, how did you fulfill your winter wedding vision? We’d love to hear!
